Diffuse Essential Oils for a Restful Night Sleep

I know (actually I don’t know, I can only imagine) the work, the scientific knowledge and the intuitive knowledge that goes into making a proprietary formula.  Seriously, each blend represents the converging wisdom of many years of therapeutic essential oil experience and validation of research and scientific study.  Each blend is formulated and synergistically balanced to enhance the potency and benefits of each CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® essential oil.

I absolutely love doTERRA’s trademark blends, it’s much easier for me to go to a blend that already has the countless hours of expertise going into making it, but occasionally I like to experiment with my own knowledge, intuition, and sense of smell to create my own blend, and diffuser blends are a great place to start.  The good news is, they are very forgiving and honestly I haven’t had one I didn’t like yet.  Roller bottle blends and diffuser blends can be used interchangeably.  If you find a roller bottle blend you like, try it in the diffuser, and if you try a diffuser blend you like, try making it into a roller bottle, don’t be afraid, just have fun with it.  I often open two bottles of oils and smell them together, maybe add a third or even a forth to see how they are going to smell together. The key is to keep it simple.

Here are a few of my favorite oils to diffuse at night to help with a restful nights sleep.

Is Breathe safe to diffuse with an infant in the room? Have heard conflicting research on the peppermint in the blend.

A common question I receive is in regards to essential oil safety for your little ones.
      Specifically eucalyptus and peppermint.
The following article written by Dr. Jessica L.M. Herzog, MD, FAAP, ABHIM; a Board-certified Holistic Integrative Medicine physician and Pediatrician addresses this topic.

What guidelines do you recommend for diffusing around babies?

    • Stephanie Fritz on April 7, 2017 at 3:56 pm

Diffusing oils are really about the safest way to use oils around babies or anyone. The oils are diluted in water and diffused in a micro mist to the room air.
